The video to the Einaudi piece is incredibly lovely. Every time I watch it, I get tears in my eyes…the relationship between you and Chandi is beautiful to watch. The other videos are great fun, but the first video is just amazing. I’ve passed it onto many people, not just as a wonderful and touching video but also as evidence of the power of positive training, the canine/human bond, and how wonderful rescue dogs can be (I have a border collie/retriever mix from a shelter).

I also want to thank you for introducing me to Ludovico Einaudi’s music. I’ve since bought the album I Giorini is on as well as another album and have fallen in love with his music.

As an equestrian who has done both jumping and dressage, I love your “horsey” routines! I am 16 and got my dog Maggie from the pound 6 years ago, when she was 3 years old. I have trained her in agility by myself. I saw your videos and you have inspired me to start teaching her freestyle even though she is 9! I even went out today and did a refresher on “heel.” You and Chandi are amazing! Keep up the amazing work!

My daughter whom is 46 years old, in perfect health, stated to me, since she has seen your videos with Chandi, especilly, “I Giorni’ ” she can now die happy. I was referred to your videos by a member of Second Chance Birds, in the USA. I’ve been watching them over and over. Just beautiful.

I came to this site after seeing your and Chandi’s performance at Crufts. I was just so touched by the obvious love and understanding your partner and you share. God bless you and Chandi and I wish you all the best in future.

PS: Do you plan to put up the Crufts routines (especially the “Footsteps in the Sand” one on your site at some point. I am watching it on the Video On Demand at the moment available on the Crufts site but that will go in a month.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on the videos – glad you liked them! As for what treats I use with Chandi, in actual fact, none while we are training – she WANTS to work with me as much as I want to work with her. I praise her, applaud her and tell her how proud I am of her and she gives me her all. She isn’t working for a food treat – to think that is really to underestimate her understanding and ability. You said it yourself; we have a true partnership – I’m so glad that it is evident in the way we work together!
Animals in general, and in this case, dogs, are capable of so very much more than most people believe to be possible – they can be taught so much – just like a young child learns by being spoken to and shown things, so a dog (or any other animal) can learn. I am so glad that my eyes are open to the possibilities and I have been blessed with such a phenomenal partner in Chandi. Every day I thank God that we have been given more time together.

Thank you again for your wonderful comments – they are very much appreciated – as are all the comments people have taken the time to write.

How in the world do you get such focus from your K-9 partner. I was so mesmerized by the attention span. What treats are you using to keep that attention there? I’m so completely impressed with you and your dog. Very beautifully choreographed, and executed. WOW!!! All horse show people should see this too! They’d love it!! Thanks t you and your dog for such a display of true partnership.

Watching you two brought happy tears to my eyes. You have to be such a special lady to have earned the respect and love of such a special Aussie. My Aussie was also a blue merle and we loved eachother for 10 years. Thank you for such entertainment and memories old and new.

I think this is the most beautiful routine. It brings tears to my eyes. I wish I could learn to do this with my little Papillon or Aussies.
