November 12, 2008.
This is definitely a day that needed it’s own post – it is 10 years to the day that Chandi came to live with me. We met for the first time on November 11, and then I collected her the following day. One of the best days of my life. I knew the minute I brought her home that I had done the right thing – Pepper took one look at her, let out a little squeak and then they proceeded to chase and play. I seem to remember decorating the Christmas tree six times that year, something that got old quite quickly – it was just too close to the racetrack that the dogs made around the sofa. It was, quite honestly, like living in a ‘Tom and Jerry’ cartoon – I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much in all my life!
November 12 was also the day I nominated as a birthday for Pepper, as I didn’t know her proper date of birth – it was very strange that Chandi came into our lives on that day.
So, happy birthday, Pepper, and happy anniversary, Chandi – and here’s to the next 10 years …

So loved seeing this! I have a dog, Joey, who looks exactly like Chandi…they could be litter mates..tho we know they are not. Our dog Joey…she is smart , smart, smart…she is almost 13 and when I keep her hair short I am always asked…’how old is your puppy?’ She has been such a part of our lives I can not imagine life without her. How you trained Chandi with little or no hand jestures is amazing…good luck to both of you!

I have enjoyed watching your performances over and over- so beautiful and graceful. Best of luck for the future. My daughter and I have our second bull terrier now, inspired by Rufus who won the Westminster some years ago, but I have always had a dog of some sort starting in my childhood with a mutt my brother bought for $5.00! who the whole family loved dearly Once again, best of luck.
